Upon completion, 152 income-restricted apartment homes will be available to support the local community
Caldwell, ID — DevCo Residential Group, along with its affiliates DevCo Development and DevCo US Construction, proudly celebrated the official groundbreaking of its latest multifamily development — the Domes Church Project — on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 821 North 16th Avenue in Caldwell.
Currently referred to as the Domes Church Project, in recognition of the church that once occupied the site’s three white geodesic domes, this new community will bring 152 new affordable apartment homes to the Caldwell market. The development will feature one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes, as well as a robust amenity package including a playground, fitness center, dog park, community room, and solar carports designed to offset up to 80% of the site’s electrical load.
“This project represents nearly three years of work to deliver 152 affordable housing units to the City of Caldwell,” said Chase Huber, Development Manager at DevCo. “It is a testament to the combined dedication of individuals from DevCo and DevCo US Construction, the City of Caldwell, Charlie Morgan Architects, Kimley Horn, Idaho Housing and Finance, KeyBank Community Development Corporation, and countless others. The project carries historical significance for the local area. The site was formerly home to the First Assembly of God Church, whose three white domes served as a recognizable landmark for decades. Built in 1977, the domes stood as a unique feature visible from the freeway until their demolition in early 2024 to make way for this new housing community.
Upon completion, slated for Q1 2027, the Domes Church development will provide much-needed affordable housing options for local families, contributing to Caldwell’s continued growth and revitalization efforts.
