As Recruiting Manager, Scott Mertens supports the recruiting and hiring initiatives at DevCo Residential Group and our family of companies, including HNN Communities, DevCo US Construction, and DevCo Management Company. Scott is locally based and works out of our Corporate Office in Bellevue.

Scott brings nearly nine years of experience in agency recruiting, during which he partnered closely with DevCo as a client for seven years. Over that time, he contributed to more than 35+ successful hires, developing a strong understanding of our organization and talent needs. Scott brings a proactive recruiting and candidate sourcing approach. He is excited to transition into this internal role and continue supporting DevCo’s strategic growth.

Scott is an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and began his career in accounting. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business and accounting from Washington State University. Having grown up nearby, he is deeply familiar with the local area. Scott cheers for the WSU Cougars and all Seattle sports teams. Scott is hopeful to see the return of the Seattle Sonics in the near future. Outside of work, Scott and his wife stay busy raising their young son and daughter. Scott is looking forward to connecting with prospective candidates and further developing his expertise within the industry.
