Sean McGranahan has spent more than 34 years in the Information Technology industry, building a career defined by expertise, leadership, and a deep passion for technology. Over the years, he’s specialized in Data Center Management, Infrastructure, and Operations, playing a key role in keeping complex systems running smoothly and securely. Known for his hands-on approach and calm under pressure, Sean has earned a reputation as someone who can both solve tough problems and help teams work better together.
His experience spans a wide range of respected organizations across the Puget Sound region, including Safeco Insurance, Premera Blue Cross, Microsoft, Walt Disney, The Seattle Times, Sound Transit, and Ziply Fiber. At each of these companies, Sean has taken on challenges that pushed him to innovate and adapt—from managing large-scale data center migrations to leading operational transformations that improved reliability and efficiency. His ability to see the big picture while staying grounded in technical detail has made him a trusted figure in IT operations and infrastructure leadership.
Outside of work, Sean leads a full and rewarding life with his family. He and his wife share a close bond and take great pride in their daughter, who is currently attending the University of Southern Maine. When he’s not in the data center or solving technical puzzles, Sean can often be found tinkering with classic American muscle cars, bringing them back to life one bolt at a time. He’s also an avid snowmobiler, and some of his happiest moments are spent exploring the snowy backcountry of the Cascade Mountains, where he finds peace, adventure, and inspiration in the rugged beauty of the Northwest.
