As Vice President of Compliance, Jonathan Messerschmidt-Rogers is responsible for overseeing audits related to Housing Finance Agencies, HUD, and other Affordable Housing programs. He manages all compliance aspects within the property management software and ensures efficient operations across the software platforms used in property management. His role is critical in maintaining regulatory standards and supporting system-wide functionality.
Jonathan brings 19 years of experience in property management and 15 years specifically in affordable housing. Prior to joining DevCO, he served as the National Director of Regulatory Compliance and Operational Support at Mercy Housing, where he supported over 26,000 units across 21 states. His earlier experience includes working at the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency in both the Housing Choice Voucher and Public Housing programs.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Mathematics from Luther College. Jonathan is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and is actively working toward becoming a Certified Property Manager. He also holds multiple industry certifications, including Specialist in Housing Credit Management, Certified Occupancy Specialist, Fair Housing Compliance, and Management and Occupancy Review through NCHM and NAHMA.
